LISTEN! Spain

I love having a playlist that reflects my travel mood, which not infrequently features ambient tunes to get me through long long flights. Spotify classified my musical type as “Vampire”… um what, yikes? In the generalist spirit of learning a little bit about everything though, I am also in constant discovery of bands and tunes originating in some of my favorite destinations.

So we’ll start with Spain shall we?

Turns out that in addition to the happy songs about Barcelona (thanks Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, Elija Fox), there are also a number of pretty fun bands who originated in the city over the years. Lyrics are in Spanish, English and Catalan, and beats range from house, pop, and reggae to just all around excellent Latin dance party fare. Hard to sit still for these, although I think it would make a great roadtrip backdrop as well.
